Mike McRoberts

Melissa Chan-Green

A seasoned journalist with a global reporting career, Melissa Chan-Green has covered everything from the Arab Spring to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

  • Now host of the education podcast SchoolShortsNZ, Melissa brings practical literacy tips and classroom insights to parents across Aotearoa. Her passion for storytelling continues through research projects exploring heritage and connection, including the stories of Chinese Anzacs. With over 20 years in broadcasting - including co-hosting AM and Newshub Live at 6pm - Melissa remains a powerful voice in New Zealand media, championing diversity, education, and community.
