About the Bizzies
The Bizzies – Aotearoa’s inaugural Business Events Awards will make history as New Zealand’s first awards programme dedicated to celebrating excellence across the business events sector. Launching with a landmark celebration on Wednesday 26 November 2025 at Cordis Auckland, the Bizzies will honour the outstanding achievements, innovation, and contributions of the individuals, partners, and events shaping the future of our industry.
Held every two years in major centres across Aotearoa, the Bizzies are more than an awards night — they are a platform to elevate the industry, strengthen its collective identity, and highlight the vital role business events play in driving economic growth, fostering collaboration, and creating social impact.
The Bizzies are where excellence is celebrated, achievement is recognised, and the remarkable contribution of New Zealand’s business events community is brought to the fore.

Emerging Business Events Professional Award
This award recognises rising talent in the business events industry. Open to professionals with five or fewer years of experience, nominees must be peer-nominated and endorsed by two expert referees. The recipient will demonstrate leadership, drive, and a clear commitment to growth, excellence, and positive impact within the industry.
Exceptional Business Events Professional Award
Celebrating seasoned expertise, this award honours a business events professional with more than five years in the industry. Nominated by a peer and supported by referees, the recipient will be recognised for outstanding performance, client service, and enduring passion—contributing meaningfully to the advancement of the sector.

Business Events Legacy Impact Award
This award acknowledges a group, company or organisation that has delivered a business event project creating lasting environmental, social, educational, political, or sectoral impact. Eligible projects must have occurred between July 2024 and June 2025 or outline a credible long-term legacy plan, celebrating meaningful and transformative change.
Best Marketing Award
Honouring excellence in marketing, this award recognises a group or organisation that has delivered an outstanding campaign or promotional activity within the business events sector. Eligible entries include destination, product, or service marketing initiatives executed between July 2024 and June 2025, showcasing creativity, strategy, and measurable success.
Excellence in Environmental Sustainability Award
This award recognises a group or organisation that has achieved significant environmental impact reduction through an event, campaign, or activation. Highlighting initiatives delivered between July 2024 and June 2025, the award celebrates leadership, innovation, and best practice in creating more sustainable business events.
Innovation Award
This award celebrates bold thinking and fresh ideas in the business events industry. It recognises a group or organisation that has introduces a standout innovation - whether a new process, product, service, or business model that delivers real value and drives the industry forward. Innovation, in this context, means turning new ideas into practical solutions that create meaningful impact.
Outstanding Business Events Partner Award
This award honours a group or organisation that exemplifies exceptional collaboration in the business events sector. Whether between agencies, clients, venues, or other partners, entries should showcase strong teamwork, a significant impact on the event experience, and potential for enduring, mutually beneficial partnerships.

On 26 November 2025 at Cordis Auckland, The Bizzies will light up the industry with an evening of celebration, connection, and recognition — complete with awards presentations, a delicious meal, and entertainment — honouring Aotearoa’s business events trailblazers and rising stars.
