Entry Terms/Conditions and Eligibility
For individual awards the entrant must have a legal right to live and work in New Zealand. For group/organisation awards, the legal entity submitting the entry must be registered or domiciled in New Zealand.
The nominee for the Outstanding Contribution to Business Events Awards must be employed by a BEIA (Business Events Industry Aotearoa) company member. Nominees for all the other awards do not have to be employed by a BEIA member.
Submissions must be made in the format specified and through the submission portal.
Entries may include, but are not limited to, written materials, videos, presentations, or any other relevant medium.
Entries must be submitted within the specified entry period, as communicated by the Organisers.
Participants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of their entries. Any false or misleading information provided may result in disqualification.
All entry material will become the property of BEIA and will not be returned.
The entrant (individual or organisation) is not under investigation or been prosecuted by any New Zealand or international statutory body.
The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
All finalists and winners agree to media coverage.
All entry information is held on a commercial-in-confidence basis. No entry information will be shared or distributed to third parties (with the exception of the judging panel). Where an award sponsor requests information to promote the finalists or winner in their category, BEIA reserves the right to provide them with the overview statement provided on entry.
Nominators or referees cannot be family members of the nominee.
Intellectual Property
Participants retain the intellectual property rights of their entries. By submitting an entry, participants grant Business Events Industry Aotearoa a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display their entry for promotional purposes related to the awards event.
Participants warrant that they have obtained all necessary permissions, licences, and clearances for any third-party materials included in their entries.
Business Events Industry Aotearoa reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms or engages in any fraudulent, unethical, or inappropriate conduct.
Privacy and Data Protection
BEIA may collect personal information from participants for the purposes of administering the programme. By participating, participants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information in accordance with BEIA’s privacy policy.
Participants have the right to access, modify, or delete their personal information held by BEIA upon request.
